Had a great rest day and slept well. All packed and on the road shortly after 7am. It was a beautiful day around 30 degrees and in the morning no wind. Around noon I got a bit of a tail wind and picked up speed. It was one of the best days yet for cycling across Canada.

A look back at Fredericton over the calm waters of the Saint John river

Another look at the Saint John River as I head toward Jemseg.

About 11:30 am I was on the new highway and a car pulled over to greet me. It was Clayton and Wilma Tupper. I was so excited about seeing someone I knew that I forgot to take their photo. Clayton took a photo and maybe he will send it to me via e-mail and I can put it here.

It was a great day and with the tail wind, I arrived in Moncton with lots of time left in the day so I decided to push on to Shediac.

Just as I decided to head for Shediac, I got a flat tire. you can see the small nail that did the damage.

I am getting better at fixing flats.

I made it to Shediac and got a spot here

All set up and had my shower - ready to call it a night.
